On April 28, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Special Representative of NATO Secretary-General for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina, APA reports citing the President's press service.

Javier Colomina conveyed NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg’s greetings to our head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for greetings and asked to convey his greetings to Jens Stoltenberg.

The visit of the head of state to NATO headquarters last year, and his meeting with the Secretary-General within the framework of the visit, as well as his speech at the meeting of the North Atlantic Council, were remembered at the meeting. At the same time, our country’s participation in NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan was mentioned.

During the talk, the sides exchanged views on the process of the normalization of the relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia during the post-conflict period, issues on energy security, regional security and prospects of NATO-Azerbaijan cooperation.
