And we thank Azerbaijani government, heads of countries located along the route, the financial institutions to fund the project. The SGC will be profitable for the countries located along the route. There were discontents about delays in the realization of the project. And we informed the Italian government about the discontents. We think the SGC is an important project for all participants, especially Italy. Because this gas will firstly be delivered to Italy. We want the first gas to be delivered to Turkey in 2018, to Europe in 2020. We’ll achieve it”, Sefcovic said.

According to Energy Ministry, the number of countries to attend the meeting has been specified. The U.S. will be represented by Robin Dunnigan, the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Diplomacy in the Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources, the U.K. by Prime Minister's Trade Envoy for Azerbaijan Emma Nicholson, EU by the European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic. EU delegation also includes representatives of the European Commission Bernard Birvert, Andras Rozmer, Kurt Gläser and Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard.
