Vahid Nazarov: I cannot understand Azad Rahimov

Baku. Agshin Aliyev - APA-Sport. â€œI didnâ€™t promise that my sportsmen would score medals in Beijing Olympics. I cannot understand the reason why my dismissal has come on the agendaâ€, Azerbaijani weightlifting team coach Vahid Nazarov told APA-Sport.
Youth and sports minister Azad Rahimov stated in todayâ€™s press conference that Nazarov will be dismissed from the post. The coach stressed out that he doesnâ€™t intend to leave the post.
â€œOur weightliftrs performed successfully in the Olympic Games. We gained the objective. 4 athletes were ranked in top ten. The state authorities highly assessed our achievements. So, I cannot understand why minister Azad Rahimov named me among those to be dismissedâ€, he said.
Nazarov noted that he continues his activity in the team which is preparing for the world championship.
â€œThe team is attending a training camp in Baku now. The athletes are preparing for the world studentsâ€™ championship to be held in Novemberâ€, he said.
