Azeri champion invited to Nations Cup

Baku. Elshen Mammedov - APA-Sport. Kazakhstan Football Union Futzal Department has expressed its intention to organize Nationsâ€™ Cup tournament with the participation of Turkish states around the Caspian Sea, APA-Sport reports.
The competition expected to be launched in 2008/09 season. Azeri champ Araz has received an invitation to the tournament, as well as several leading clubs of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Department chief Oljas Abrayev stated that they plan to organize Nations Cup 5 times in turn in the countries. The host is to meet the expenditures of the teams, as well.
Araz coach Boyukaga Hadjiyev confirmed that they have received such an invitation. They havenâ€™t answered it yet.
â€œKazakhstan plans to hold the tournament in Karaganda between 11 and 15 August. We have been invited to the international tournament in Manchester at the same time. Now we are engaged in preparations for the UEFA Cup qualifying round to be held in September in Baku. Thehefore, we have accepted no invitation yetâ€, he said.
