The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) respects internationally recognized borders and the territorial integrity of countries, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

Mammadyarov made the remarks at the closing session of the NAM Mid-Term Ministerial Conference in Baku on Friday, APA reports.

"The ministers reached crucial decisions at the conference. You will notice from the statements that member states respect international borders and the territorial integrity of countries. The NAM will respect the sovereignty of countries and avoid interfering in the internal affairs of countries and using force,” he noted.

The top official said the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is still ongoing.

"This issue too is stressed in the Baku Declaration adopted at the NAM ministerial conference. The declaration notes that despite the UN resolutions, the conflict remains unsettled and poses a threat to regional security. I thank the participants for adding this provision to the document,” he added.
