The phased restoration of cooperation between Moscow and Ankara will contribute to security and stability in the South Caucasus, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told the Regional Post — Caucasus bimonthly, APA’s Moscow correspondent reported.
“There is no need to consider the normalization of Russia-Turkey ties as a process harmful to other states. Russia has no secret agenda. We do not create a political or economic alliance that violate someone else’s interests or are aimed against a third country,” said Lavrov.
According to him, Russia is ready for a constructive cooperation with anyone.
“We’re convinced that the outcome of the months-long stranded Russia-Turkey relations will boost the mutual understanding and trust in the region. We hope the phased restoration of the bilateral cooperation with Ankara will contribute to security and stability in the South Caucasus,” added Lavrov.
