Various military equipments have today been presented as a part of the exhibition.

Naval industry is among priorities at the exhibition. Yesterday National Company Kazakhstan Engineering and STM Company of Turkey signed a protocol of intent on the construction of the shipyard to build warships on the Caspian Sea and cooperation on implementing engineering works.

Poly Technologies Company of China and Kazakh Naval Forces jointly presented a new rocket-artillery ship. Kazakhstan and China have already agreed to build rocket-artillery ships in Kazakhstan.

The official of the Kazakh Naval Forces told APA that Astana is interested in cooperating with Azerbaijan in modernization of the Caspian fleet. Azerbaijan’s experience is especially used in this sphere: “The majority of commanders and officers of the Kazakh Naval Forces and Coast Guard have studied in Baku. More than ten Kazakh students graduate from Azerbaijan every year. We are going to send additional attendees to Azerbaijan. We are currently discussing this issue with Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.”

The official also said that from this year, Kazakhstan started using Azerbaijan-produced remote controlling and tracking system.

According to the official, the Kazakh Naval Forces intend to use the experience of Azerbaijan and Turkey in training special-purpose battalion: “S.A.T. and S.A.S special forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey can be an example in our geographical area for their professionalism. We are also studying the fraternal countries’ experience in this sphere.”
