Baku - APA-Economics. The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries is likely to choose a new secretary-general at its meeting next week, the only concrete action the cartel is expected to take, said national delegates of the group, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Current secretary-general Abdalla Salem el-Badri has been set to retire since 2013 but has stayed on because the fractious oil cartel has been unable to agree a new leader.
