Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) held a meeting on Thursday. Addressing the meeting, CMO Chairman, Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazade accused religious communities in mosques in some villages of Zagatala, Shamakhi and Gobustan districts of arbitrariness, illegal activities and serving some circles, and asked Mubariz Gurbanli, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations, to suspend their activities.

Pashazade noted that religious communities in mosques in four villages of Zagatala district, one village of each Shamakhi and Gobustan districts are illegally operating without registration and are not cooperating with the CMO.

“We are told that they are subordinate to other places. If you are living in this country, how can you be subordinate to another place?! Their activities run contrary to Azerbaijan's laws and religious norms. Therefore, we raise the issue before the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations to immediately suspend their activities,” he added.
