Baku. Etibar Mammadov - APA. The friendship group in support of Baku-2015 has held a roundtable on the theme “Anti-Azerbaijani campaign in the context of the European Games”.

Speaking at the event, chairman of the Ana Vatan (Motherland) Party, MP Fazail Agamali regretfully said that Azerbaijan faces an unpleasant incident on the eve of the first European Games.

“We are all proud that Azerbaijan will host the first European Games. However, some forces, which don’t want us to be successful, conduct a campaign of pressure against Azerbaijan. In order to prevent them, we created a friendship group in support of the European Games on social network on April 25," the MP added.

Agamali recalled the anti-Azerbaijani campaign led by John Kerry's office which aims to thwart the course of the Games, undermine the image of Azerbaijan in the world and disseminate false and malicious information in the media against the country. He added that such intentions will be prevented.

Coordinator of the project Nijat Muslimov mentioned that the group is followed by over 10,000 people and the figure is growing day by day. “I urge all compatriots to be active in the group. We, youngsters, will unite around President Ilham Aliyev. I think that holding the games will be a PR of Azerbaijan and contribute to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict”, he said.
