The official opening of the course was attended by Rector of ADA University Hafiz Pashayev, Ambassador of Switzerland to Azerbaijan Pascal Aebischer, Latvian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hardijs Baumanis and Afghanistan's charge d'affaires to Azerbaijan Miraslam Wazeri.
The course will inform the 20 Afghan officials about the issues such as gender, peace and justice, media management, human rights in a transition period, fight against corruption within the government and justice systems, education, civil society, human security, fight against civil movements and extremism. Thereto, the participants will have the opportunity to visit ADA’s campus and a number of places of historical significance in Baku.
The participants will be awarded certificates at the end of the course, which will last till October 29.
