The Minister said that the institutions of the Ministry are developing projects on production and creation of new products in order to meet these demands.
Jamalov said that one of the institutions has already started the production of armor vests and helmets. Azerbaijani-made armor vests and helmets were demonstrated at military exhibitions in Turkey last year and in Malaysia this year.
Experts of the Ministry of Defense Industry told APA that Azerbaijani-made armor vests conform to NIJ Level IIIA and Level IV protection. The institution is working on reducing their weight.
Armor vests have standard design. They have pockets for carrying ammunition and communication devices.
