Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Chairman of State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Elshad Iskandarov has addressed the Azerbaijanis leaving to fight in the conflict zones all over the world, APA reports. Elshad Iskandarov told journalists that they should expand their energies only in our country for the sake of national and spiritual values, not in foreign countries, in wrong places.

Iskandarov said that the fact that Azerbaijani young people are going to a foreign country and taking part in religious conflicts is a negative case and is contrary to national and spiritual values: “Our young people should take the example from our martyrs, who gave their lives for our land. Our young people’s energies should serve the national interests of Azerbaijan, they should not be involved in the conflicts that have emerged due to unknown and strange calls. They must be ready to liberate our occupied territories under the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. Our young people should use their energies only for this purpose.”

The Committee Chairman also noted that regardless of the cause, in case of any malicious religious call, the committee and law-enforcement bodies will take necessary measures to prevent this.
