Baku-APA. Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve under the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has issued a message.
The Reserve told APA that as a result of the recent restoration and renovation interest has increased in Icherisheher, the pearl of Azerbaijan’s history and culture. One of the main problems of the residents, companies, local and foreign guests is connected with road traffic in Icherisheher. The Reserve has done significant work to restore the streets and roads.
It was noted that in addition to the work done, the settlement of the traffic jam problem that frequently occurs in the narrow streets of Icherisheher as a result of two-way movement.
The Office has tested one-way traffic in the area of Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve to eliminate this problem from November 1. New traffic rules have already produced a positive result, the number of traffic jams began to decline.
One-way traffic will be tested in Icherisheher till December 1, 2013 and new traffic rules will come into force from that date. Booklets with a particular map showing direction of movement in Azerbaijani and English will be distributed to all drivers in the entrances of Icherisheher.
Icherisheher State Historical and Architectural Reserve stated that measures will be taken against those disobeying determined traffic rules from December 1. The office asks all residents and visitors to render the necessary care and sensitivity to the issue.
