APA reports that 6 of them were hanged in Yazd, 2 in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province.
Five of prisoners executed in Yazd were charged with drug smuggling and one with murder. Their identities haven’t been revealed. They were executed in central prison of Yazd city on October 3, as Iranian Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence.
Behnam Karimian executed in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province was charged with the murder. Official bodies and media outlets haven’t published any information about the execution of the death penalty. He was executed in central prison of Shahrekord city on October 2, as Iranian Supreme Court confirmed the death sentence.
129 people have been executed in Iran since Hassan Rouhani took over presidency on August 4. One of them is juvenile, seven are women. 17 people were executed in public, 51 were hanged in secret. 42% of executions were carried out in secret within two months of Hassan Rouhani’s presidency. About 2 people were hanged every day within two months.
