SOCAR President: SGC to create significant common gas-main pipeline
The Southern Gas Corridor will create significant common gas-main pipeline and will contribute to energy securities of all partner countries, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said in his interview to the website of New Azerbaijan Party.
According to him, this project will diversify Azerbaijan’s export pipelines, allow Azerbaijan to become more independent in terms of selection of export routes and give extra advantages to Azerbaijan in all commercial negotiations conducted with partners.
Abdullayev said that after launch of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, SGC was commenced: ‘This year, 3 out of four segments of this project will be launched and our country will get benefits of long-term efforts made by Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev’.
