As part of their visit to Karabakh, members of the world-renowned NomadMania travel club visited Karabakh University in Khankendi, APA’s local bureau reports.
The traveler group representing six continents became acquainted with the conditions created for students at the university.
The meeting organized at the university began with the playing of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan and the commemoration of those who were martyred for the territorial integrity of the country.
Rector of Karabakh University, Shahin Bayramov, by delivering a speech, provided detailed information about the university.
After that, Azerbaijani traveler Mehraj Mahmudov delivered a speech.
A documentary film was presented about the visits of international travelers to Azerbaijan at various times, particularly to the liberated territories.
In the film, which was prepared in English, the memories of travelers and the truths about Karabakh were widely covered.
The leader of the international traveler group, world-renowned traveler and founder of the NomadMania club, Harry Mitsidis, shared his memories in his speech. He spoke about the tragedies caused by war and the disasters it led to, emphasized his support for peace.
In the continuation of the event, questions from students were answered.
At the end, the guests visited the university library and donated books to the library.
Note that with this, the group’s visit to the city of Khankendi has concluded. They will continue their visit to the city of Aghdam.
