Today there are nearly 700 ichthyosis patients in Azerbaijan, Aynura Zeynalova, Head of the Protection Sector for Women, Mothers, Children and Adolescents (Ministry of Health), during her speech at the public hearing on "Healthy family model and the right to marry" held in the parliament, APA reports.
Ministry official noted that the figures regarding ichthyosis are concerning: "We have also conducted statistics on this. There are nearly 700 ichthyosis patients in the country. In this regard, a state program has been adopted. We provide them with medicine and necessary supplies."
