The remains of the martyr Zahid Naghiyev Bakhish, who was believed to have gone missing during the First Garabagh War, were handed over to his family, APA reports.
Today, the remains of the martyr Zahid Naghiyev were brought to Aghdam's Evoglu village, where his family lives.
The farewell ceremony for the martyr took place in the Garadagli village cemetery. The ceremony was attended by family members and relatives of the martyr, as well as heads and employees of the regional Executive Power, law enforcement agencies, veterans, families of martyrs, comrades in arms, and public representatives.
Volley fire was launched. The Azerbaijani Flag, which was draped over the martyr's coffin, was presented to the martyr's brother.
Nte that Zahid Naghiyev Bakhish took part in the battles in the Fuzuli and Aghdam directions of the front during the First Garabagh War. On April 18, 1994, he was considered missing in the battle for Javahirli village of Aghdam district. After the investigations, it was revealed that the fighter was buried as an unknown martyr in the Khindiristan village cemetery of Aghdam district and his identity was determined.
