The remains of Mirish Mahammad Rustamov, who went missing during the First Karabakh War, have been handed over to his family in Aghjabadi today, APA’s local bureau reports.
A farewell ceremony was held in the district, and the soldier was buried at the Aghjabadi Alley of Martyrs.
Notably, Mirish Rustamov, born in 1973 in Aghjabadi, took part in battles around the Fuzuli district during the First Karabakh War. He was declared missing on August 23, 1992, in the direction of Kurdmahmudlu village in Fuzuli. It was later revealed that he had died and was buried as an unidentified martyr in the same region. His identity has now been confirmed.
