People’s Artist of the USSR, Georgian sculptor, and President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli has passed away, APA reports citing TASS.
The news was announced by the sculptor’s assistant Sergey Shagolashvili.
According to him, the 91-year-old sculptor died of a heart attack last night.
Recall that Zurab Tsereteli was born in Tbilisi in 1934. He was the author of more than 500 works of art, including paintings, sculptures, graphics, panels, and others.
