On April 15, 2025, participants of the conference titled "Decolonization: The Silent Revolution," organized by the Baku Initiative Group in collaboration with representatives of the International Decolonization Front, at the UN Headquarters in New York, adopted a final document at the conclusion of the event.

The document emphasized that colonialism has inflicted deep, irreparable wounds worldwide and strongly condemned the refusal of colonial powers to be held accountable for their historical crimes.

It was highlighted that countries such as France and the Netherlands still persist in their colonial policies today, continuing to keep territories like Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Réunion, Mayotte, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, and others under subjugation. The document stressed that colonial crimes are crimes against humanity and called for these colonial regimes to make rightful reparations for the crimes they have committed. If they fail to do so, the document called for international sanctions against them.

Furthermore, the document expressed support for the activities of NGOs like the Baku Initiative Group, which have been working to expose colonialism within the framework of international law. It also firmly condemned the resolution adopted by the French National Assembly on March 28 against the Baku Initiative Group.

At the end of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the Baku Initiative Group for organizing the conference.
