"A record number of project proposals submitted by NGOs to the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) was registered in the latest competition. In total, applications from 915 NGOs were reviewed," said Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to NGOs, during the Agency's press conference, APA reports.
“Since the beginning of its operations, the Agency has reviewed 3,965 project proposals from Azerbaijani NGOs within the framework of its grant competitions, of which 2,214 have been funded. Over the past 4 years, nearly AZN 22 million have been allocated by the Agency to support initiatives by Azerbaijani NGOs,” she added.
The Executive Director also noted that the Agency achieved the following levels of implementation of the tasks assigned to it by the decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev: 76% in 2022, 87.5% in 2023, 97.3% in 2024. She further stated that the number of tasks assigned to the Agency under State Programs and National Action Plans increased fourfold in 2024 compared to 2022.
