“Corruption knows no borders, this should further strengthen our commitment to the principles of justice,” said Nasser Abaalkhalil, Chair of the Steering Committee of the GlobE Network at the opening of the 6th Plenary Meeting of the United Nations Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities – the GlobE Network, APA reports.
He noted that cooperation within the framework of the organization must be stronger than corruption: “The steps taken by our Network have yielded very good results. Let us move our work forward quickly, build comprehensive connections, and continue our activities. We must look into how innovation and technology can strengthen our work and discuss how stolen assets can be recovered. Corruption itself is adapting—artificial intelligence and rapid financial transfers are today’s reality. Technology in asset recovery should not be a choice, it must be a necessity. We must stay one step ahead of those who commit corruption. We must share our experiences and form operations that can bring real results.”
He thanked Azerbaijan for hosting the event: “Let justice prevail everywhere.”
