On May 29, within the framework of his visit to Uzbekistan, Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov held a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, the Ministry of Justice told APA.
It was noted that during the meeting, the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in political, economic, legal, trade, and other fields, and their elevation to the level of strategic partnership, was emphasized. It was stated that the mutual visits and meetings of the heads of state of Azerbaijan and Pakistan play an important role in further strengthening and expanding these relations.
Farid Ahmadov noted that the visit of Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif to our country on May 27–28, as well as his participation in the second Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Pakistan Trilateral Summit held in liberated Lachin, is a clear example of the strength of our relations.
The Minister emphasized that the “Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Law and Justice of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” signed last year opens new prospects for further expanding cooperation in the legal field.
During the meeting, discussions were held on future directions of legal cooperation, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
Azam Nazeer Tarar stated that he intends to visit Azerbaijan in the coming months to further strengthen ties with the country.
