Azerbaijan to have 7 non-working days on Novruz Holiday

Azerbaijan will have 7 non-working days on Novruz Holiday, APA reports.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On determining the days of Novruz, Ramadan and Gurban holidays for 2024", the March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 2024 were set as the Novruz Holiday.

In accordance with the Labor Code, if interweek days of rest and holiday days that are considered non-working days coincide, said days of rest are switched to the working day immediately following the holiday. As 23-24 March fall on Saturday and Sunday, 25-26 March (Monday and Tuesday) will be non-working days. Thus, Azerbaijan will have 7 non-working days on Novruz Holiday.

Thus, the March 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26 consecutively will be non-working days in Azerbaijan in relation to Novruz Holiday.
