The National Strategy for the Efficient Use of Water Resources is expected to be adopted in Azerbaijan in the coming days, Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated this during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2025, the consolidated budget proposals, and the indicators for the consolidated budget for the next three years, as well as the economic and social development concept and forecast indicators for 2025 and the following three years, APA reports
"The upcoming National Strategy for the Efficient Use of Water Resources, covering the years 2024–2040, will focus on the efficient use, management, and pollution prevention of water resources in the country. It will also address the desalination of seawater, modernization of irrigation systems, and measures for the use of water resources in the Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur economic regions," the Prime Minister noted.
