Since the implementation period of the fourth National Action Plan in Azerbaijan, which plays an exceptional role in the fight against human trafficking, has ended this year, the next draft conceptual document covering the years 2025-2030 should be prepared for the comprehensive and systematic fight against those crimes, this was reflected in the annual report of the National Coordinator for the fight against human trafficking for 2023, APA reports.
From the point of view of the extensive use of modern information and communication technologies by transnational organized criminal groups, in this field, the improvement of professional training of employees, the application of progressive international experience, improvement of activity, the expansion of international cooperation in the field of electronic information collection, which ensures a comprehensive and efficient investigation of crimes committed over the Internet, especially interstate mutual legal and technical assistance, are the defined goals. Currently, measures in these directions are ongoing as planned.
