"If suspected cases of mpox brought from other countries will be recorded, all resources for the diagnosis and treatment of the disease are available in Azerbaijan," Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
Recall that a few days ago, the World Health Organization declared that the upsurge of mpox in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and a growing number of countries in Africa constitutes a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) under the International Health Regulations (2005) (IHR).
WHO has also called on people to get vaccinated against mpox.
