Armenia has constantly violated the requirements of existing international conventions, said Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan, during the Scientific-Practical Conference held today in Nakhchivan, APA reports.
"Armenia has constantly violated the requirements of existing international conventions. Thus, the 1991 UN Convention on Environmental Impact Assessment in a Transboundary Context (ESPO), the 1992 UN Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes, as well as the obligations arising from the Protocols of that Convention "On Water and Health" dated June 17, 1999 have been grossly violated by Armenia," said the Prosecutor General.
The Prosecutor General underlined that one of the bitter consequences of the occupation policy implemented by Armenia against Azerbaijan is that the water resources of our country have become unusable.
