A court hearing has been held regarding the criminal case initiated by the State Security Service (SSS) against Ismayil Rafail oglu Zamanli, a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who is accused of treason, APA reports.
During the preparatory session held under the chairmanship of Judge Telman Huseynov at the Baku Court on Grave Crimes, the defendant's personal information was clarified, and a decision was made to transfer the criminal case for judicial investigation without changing the preventive measure of arrest applied to him.
The next court hearing is scheduled for May 21.
Note that Ismayil Zamanli is accused of treason under Article 274 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, namely, carrying out the instructions of representatives of a foreign intelligence agency to the detriment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity, state security and defense capability of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
