"You cannot see the gathering of representatives of Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Albanian-Udi communities and representatives of other religious beliefs and showing solidarity in the same place in any other place of the world. But this is how it is with us, and it has always been like this," Sahib Nagiyev, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan said at the conference themed "Haydar Aliyev's policy: tolerance" organized by the Committee, APA reports.
"This policy is supported by each citizen in our country. The state demonstrates solidarity with every religious confession and allocates funds for the restoration, repair, and construction of their houses of worship. There is an Armenian church in the center of Baku city and it is always open for worshippers," the Deputy Chairman added.
