The United Nations is very pleased to be cooperating with Azerbaijan, said UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Ghulam Isaczai.
He made the remarks at a conference, titled “The Role of Parliament in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals”, held in the Azerbaijani Parliament on Monday, APA reports.
He noted that cooperation with Azerbaijan covers various areas, including inter-parliamentary and intergovernmental relations.
Isaczai said Azerbaijan has done considerable work towards achieving sustainable development goals.
"The decree on sustainable development signed by the Azerbaijani president is commendable. Substantial work has been done in this regard,” he added.
