ICYF: “Fakhraddin Aliyev was not our employee”

The ICYF spokesman Alpay Ahmadov noted that F. Aliyev was not an employee of the ICYF Secretariat.

“He attended the Economic Council of the OIC Youth Entrepreneurs Network under the ICYF as an expert in 2013-14. However, the council’s authorized expired in 2014, Aliyev’s accreditation term as an expert in March 2015 and the ICYF officially informed Turkish FM about this. We offer condolence to the deceased’s family for his death”, he said.

Today, Turkish press reported that Fakhraddin Aliyev, who reportedly worked at Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul and ICYF, has committed suicide. But, Azerbaijani FM spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev told APA that F. Aliyev has not worked for FM. Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Istanbul also said Aliyev had no diplomatic activity in connection with the consulate.

APA’s Turkish correspondent noted that F. Aliyev was an Azerbainani businessman in Turkey. He is the owner of Farko Company. He was one of founders of Azerbaijani Businessmen Union in Turkey.
