Director of the Fourth CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry has been replaced, ONA’s Moscow bureau reports.
Denis Vladimirovich Gonchar has been appointed as head of the department responsible for relations with Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia.
Denis Gonchar, 46, worked in various positions at the Central Office of the Russian Foreign Ministry and overseas offices. He served as an adviser to the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the OSCE in 2007-2011 and as Adviser to the Russian Embassy in the United States in 2011-2018.
Note that Alexei Pavlovsky led the Fourth CIS Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry in 2011-2019. According to the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin Alexey Pavlovsky has been appointed as Ambassador of Russia to Australia.
