Qatar’s energy minister has said crude oil prices, which have recently settled above $80 a barrel, should be more than $100, said Qatar’s energy minister Abdullah ibn Hamad Al-Attiyah.
"If we take into account inflation from 1972 to the present day, the real and fair price for oil should be more than 100 dollars," he added.
Al-Attiyah said the dollar would continue to be the unit of reference for the time being but because it has slipped against the euro for much of the past year.
Egyptian Minister, Venezuelan President and OPEC head had also predicted the crude oil headed for $100 a barrel./APA-Economics/
