Tagi Ahmadov: Baku Metro plans to buy 50 train cars from Russia in 2008

Tagi Ahmadov also stated that fares will not be increased in Baku Metro in the nearest years. The Metro chief noted that Tariff Council has not accepted the appeals of the metro administration. So they do not plan to make such a proposal again.
Tagi Ahmadov also underlined that Baku Metro can meet only 5% of their expenses by passenger traffic.
“95% of the metro expenses have to be met by government subsidy. But we only get 30% of it,†he said. /APA-Economics/
