Azerbaijan expects inflation rate at 10% this year, says Minister of Economic Development

Heydar Babayev added that the government agencies have to intensify efforts so that the increasing expenditures canâ€™t step up inflation.
â€œThe target is to keep inflation at an controllable level. It is predicted that the inflation rate will be at 12% for 2008. For the end of this year we forecast the inflation pace at 10%. It is quite a positive getting,â€ he added.
The 2008 budget are expected to rise 27.9% to AZN 7.383 billion and expenditures are predicted to increase 34.7% to AZN 8.509 billion. The budget deficit is forecasted to reach AZN 1.126 billion.
The 2008 consolidated budget expects revenues at AZN 10.508 billion and expenditures at AZN 10.184 billion. /APA-Economics/
