On September 13, crude oil closed above $80 a barrel for the first time on, having ninth successive gains.
New York’s main oil futures contract, light sweet crude (WTI) for October delivery, gained $0.18 to $80.09 per barrel.
October Brent North Sea crude earned $0.24 to $77.24 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange in London.
U.S. gasoline futures helped lead prices higher after Hurricane Humberto shut oil shipping channels and three refineries as it slammed onshore in Texas. /APA-Economics/
