Azerbaijan to quadruple the capacity of Garadagh Underground Gasholder

By a government decision, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan is working on Garadagh gasholder expansion project.
The SOCAR press service told APA-Economics that the current capacity of the underground gasholder is around 400-600 million cubic meters of gas. The capacity will be expanded to 2.3 billion cubic meters in two years in accordance with the project.
The SOCAR President Rovnag Abdulayev said the construction and reconstruction activities will be carried out through the company’s own funds.
There are two gasholders- Garadagh and Galmas underground gasholders in the country.
One billion cubic meters of gas was injected to the gasholders last year. It is planned to increase the amount to 1.4 billion cubic meters this year. /APA-Economics/
