The Ministry officer Sadraddin Mammadov told APA-Economics that 13.3km of the bridge will run over the sea from Shikh Settlement to Zigh Settlement. The bridge will be connected to the Circular Road around Baku. The bridge will reach 26 km in length with its overland links.
“The bridge will help lessen traffic congestion in the capital, make the sight of Baku nicer and foster tourist sightseeing,” he added.
Turkey, Korea and some other countries have bridges of this kind.
Korean specialists have sent their proposals and the government of Azerbaijan is considering the package now.
Construction of the bridge is to be completed by 2015. /APA-Economics/
