Azerbaijan, Russia hold Economic-Commercial Conference

At the outset of the event, Russian Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref’s letter was read out.
“Economic and commercial relations between the two countries are developing rapidly while the current level of the bilateral ties is below the existing potential. We have to work hard jointly to further advance our mutual relations,” the letter reads.
Next, the letter of Yevgeni Primakov, chair of Russian Commerce and Industry Chamber, was read out. The letter expresses hope the conference will play vital part in advancement of bilateral ties, regional cooperation and stability.
Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev delivered a speech at the conference, saying Russia has become the largest trade partner of Azerbaijan in the first four months of the year.
