The trade between Azerbaijan and Russia grew 8.5%, year-on-year, during the first four months, said Head of the Russia’s Trade Office in Azerbaijan Yuri Shedrin.
He added that trade totaled to $424.226 million “but there is discrepancy between statistics posted by Azerbaijan and Russia”.
He also said trade between the two neighboring countries continues to grow although Azerbaijan stopped importing Russian gas.
“Russia’s imports from Azerbaijan rose 71% to $122.603 million while exports to Azerbaijan declined 5.5% to $301.623 million,” he noted.
Automobiles, machines and polytechnic devices accounted for 30% of imports to Azerbaijan.
“We have to work hard to find levers to increase the trade between the two countries to $2 billion as the two presidents suggested,” he concluded. /APA-Economics/
