Azerbaijan, US expand economic relations

Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister Heydar Babayev today met with Los Angeles County Sheriff Leroy D. Baca.
Speaking of developing economic relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, Azeri Minister said the parties are negotiating on expansion of US companies’ involvement in Azerbaijan’s petrochemical industry. He also added that there is good potential for cooperation in telecommunications, melioration-irrigation, education, agriculture and other spheres. Heydar Babayev said Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AzPromo) will take great part in deepening relations among the businesspeople of the two nations.
Saying he will do his best for development of cooperation between the two counties, Sheriff Leroy Baca invited Heydar Babayev and Azeri entrepreneurs to Milking Institution’s Exhibition to be held in Los Angeles.
The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijani Consul General to Los Angeles Elin Suleymanov and Assistant Sheriff Michael Yamaki. /APA-Economics/
