Simeon Djankov says Azerbaijan should study Georgiaâ€™s lesson

Azerbaijan needs to learn from Georgiaâ€™s experience in economic reforms, said Simeon Djankov, the manager of the Doing Business.
He added that Azerbaijan needs this experience in simplification of licensing, one-stop shop system and other reforms. He said the Doing Business-2007 will be released in September and this report will consider Azerbaijanâ€™s progress. He noted that Georgia will be ranked a reforms pilot this year once again.
Doing Business-2006 ranked Azerbaijan 99th among 175 nations, one step forward from the previous year while Georgia came the first for economic reforms. /APA-Economics/
