Azer-Asia Insurer, UniBank settle the disagreement

UniBank will remove the slogan “Your Supporting Point†from all commercials after Azer-Asia Insurance Company announced it will sue UniBank for misappropriating its motto.
Azer-Asia Insurance Company told APA-Economics that the parties have reached an unofficial agreement while UniBank press service declined to comment.
Azer-Asia has used this slogan since 2004 but patented a week ago.
Azer-Asia Insurance JV was established by Iran’s Asia Company (49%) and Azerbaijan’s Azersigorta State Commercial Company (51%) in 1997. It provides 7 voluntary and 2 compulsory types of insurance services.
UniBank is owned by the EBRD (15.15%), DEG Investment Corporation (8.3%), legal entities (0.9%) and individuals (75.62%).
