Azerbaijan’s state budget tends to be more and more dependent on petrodollars, a group concludes
The National Budget Group released a statement, saying Azerbaijan’s state budget get more and more dependent on oil revenues. The Group member, Ingilab Ahmadov, said oil factor was around 60% in the 2006 budget.
“Profit tax jumped to account for 35.2% of the budget incomes and this proves oil factor, that is the budget tends to be more and more dependent on the oil income,†he noted.
Ahmadov added that the budget classification should be reconsidered and the investments section should be added to expenditures.
“The National Budget Group has concluded that implementation of the 2006 budget can be characterized as tax and budget administration problems, impact of oil factor, swaying against forecasts. Despite all, the budget showed that the economy is growing,†he added. /APA-Economics/
