Azerbaijan invites US firms specialized in agriculture sector to join implementation of agrarian projects because few invest in agrarian sector, said Ismat Abbasov, Agriculture Minister of Azerbaijan.
“We think the US investors should participate in non-oil sector development, including projects in agricultural projects. We offered them to explore, identify and find potential projects. We need high-quality products and food security in order to find a niche on the foreign markets,’ he noted.
The U.S.-Azerbaijan Agribusiness Forum took place in Baku on May 22 within the scope of the second U.S trade mission’s visit to Azerbaijan for the food and agriculture sector.
The mission is designed specifically to help U.S. firms establish long-term partnerships with Azerbaijani firms, identify potential projects, and find reliable buyers and/or suppliers of valuable agricultural products from the region.
The trade mission participants will visit the regions of Azerbaijan that focus on food and agriculture production and will also have one-on-one individual business appointments with executives from prospective suppliers, distributors, and partners. /APA-Economics/
