The Open Society Institute - Assistance Foundation (Soros Foundation) spent approximately US $4 million on implementation of different programs in Azerbaijan during 2006. Soros Foundation Officer in Azerbaijan, Farda Asadov, told APA-Economics that the budget or Azerbaijan is in the order of $2.5 million plus funding from the third parties and Soros foundations network.
“We finance about 30 projects on average a year,†he added.
He added that OSI-AF is now working on boarding schools reform project. /APA-Economics/
