Baku holds roundtable on “spending of oil revenues: competition policy or industrial policy?”

On April 18, with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Eurasia Foundation and the Foundation for Assistance to Entrepreneurship launched a one-day roundtable on “Spending of Oil Revenues: Competition Policy or Industrial Policy?” to promote transparency and efficient use of oil revenues.
Ragib Guliyev, professor from the Technical University of Azerbaijan, and Sabit Bagirov, chairman of the Entrepreneurship Development Foundation, made presentations at the round table.
About 25 to 30 representatives of Parliament, various ministries, the Oil Fund, and international and local NGOs attended the event.
The event took place at the World Bank’s Information Center at the Azerbaijan State Economic University. /APA-Economics/
